House Update

Hello!

Great News!! The Appraisal has come in and it is right where we need it to be to complete the sale of our home! Yeah!!! So, it is just now a matter of going to closing. We have had a slight glitch in the fact that the Lender (not the buyer, the buyers are AWESOME!) is now demanding a new survey and this is a minor set back to us. We were hoping to use the little amount of money from the sale during the transition between jobs and to help with the move. Since money was in short supply before, this makes it even shorter! But, God is faithful and we know that it will work out according to His plan!
I think that the biggest lesson that we are learning through this process is that it isn't up to us! Thank you for your continued support and prayer.

The pods have been ordered. They arrive on the 20th and then they head to MS. They don't arrive until June 2nd! So, we will be with only our pups and our suitcases for a bit. It will be quite the adventure! :-)

Moving Forward

Well,
Shaun and I both gave our notices to our work this week. Everyone was very supportive, and I think a little shocked. It was such a difficult thing because we love what we do and the organizations in which we work. Yet, we are excited to begin this new chapter and this new work. Thank you all for your words of encouragement and prayer.

My last day with Alliance for Children is the 27th of May and Shaun's last day with the Boys and Girls Club is the 28th of May.

Here are a couple pictures of the house in Ocean Springs.

Here is the back yard, there are trees and the best part is that there is plenty of yard for Preston to roam!

Here is the front of the house. It will be home sweet home soon! And we have a guest room! Be sure to make your reservation for the Casa de Campbell soon, as reservations fill quickly! :-) We hope to have plenty of summer guests! We are 2 miles from East beach!

We are 45 minutes from New Orleans and 2 hours from Penniscola Florida, so plenty of fun things to do! Mark your calendars: the Campbells move to Mississippi on May 31st!

We Have a Home!!

GREAT NEWS!!!

Dustin and Natalie found us an AMAZING home to rent right around the corner from them in Ocean Springs! This is such a blessing and a huge encouragement for us. It has a huge fenced backyard, trees, and the yard is green (unlike our current one in Texas)! So, the pups will have a place to hang out. We are so excited to have a home versus the apartment we found, although the apartment was really nice too! But, this will allow people to meet in our home for home groups, etc. God is so good!

Thank you for keeping us in your prayers! Everything is almost good to go with the sale of our current home. We are still awaiting a few things before it is 100 percent done, so please pray!

Preston

Preston had his minor surgery this Friday in Wichita Falls. Everything went very well. Preston weighs 9 pounds! He is feeling much better! Due to the surgery, Preston has been ordered to wear the cone around his neck. He looks so funny! I thought that I'd share a picture of Preston in the cone. Good news is that he should only have to wear it for a few more days.

Cupcake Queens

I had a couple of very special helpers the other night who helped me with dinner. They set the table, made the salad, and we even had time to make 2 dozen cupcakes. It was so fun to have their help and the muffins were AWESOME!!!

House Update

Hello Everyone!

I just wanted to post a quick update on the house. As many of you know, we had CRAZY storms last week. Bad news is that we had what they think to be a tornado touch down 2 miles from the house! Good news is that we only had tree limbs in the yard AND they fell in the yard and not on the car that was in the drive way.

The inspection for the house was scheduled for that Thurday morning after the storms, so needless to say it was rescheduled and done on Monday. It seems as though things are progressing toward our projected closing date of May 23rd.

Jackson Too Cool!

Jackson has decided that he is too cool for Texas and it is time to move to Mississippi because we have an offer on our house!!!

Now, it isn't quite a done deal yet, but we are hopeful that everything will fall into place. We will know more next week. I will update you then..
