Update

Hello Again!

This weekend was the last weekend for Dustin and Natalie to be here in Texas. Our church, the Met, held a goodbye reception for them. It was amazing to see how many lives they have impacted and how truly loved they are. Shaun and I are so excited that we are going to have that same opportunity to impact lives, and we get to work along side Dustin and Natalie! What an honor and a responsibility. So, it was a sad time, but also very exciting.

More and more people are learning of our new adventure. It is exciting to share the news and be encouraged that we are doing the right thing. Thank you to everyone for the encouragement and the prayers.

We hosted another Open House and I have to say I think it was successful. We had 6 couples come through and several expressed interest. We also have shown the house a couple more times last week.

The funniest part about the Open House is that everyone knows that I CAN NOT keep plants alive, no matter what I do, they die! So, we wanted the front to look warm and inviting and needed some plants. My kind neighbor, Virginia let us borrow her gorgeous plants! The front yard hasn't ever looked so good!

I baked cookies for the open house (now I CAN cook) and they were a big hit too. Thank you to everyone who has been praying for the house. Our realtor, Linda Jean has pneumonia, so her husband, Roger actually came and did the open house. Thank you Roger and Linda Jean! We are hoping that she rests and gets well soon. God has the perfect buyer in mind and it will happen in His perfect time!

Thanks to everyone for their support and prayer! We are so excited to have you in our lives and be a part of this great adventure.

Have a great week!
Love,
Jessica

Moving Day

Hello All,

I hope that everyone had a great Easter!

Having Friday off, Shaun and I had lunch with Chris and Jodie, Kincaid's is a Fort Worth burger tradition. For all our WF(Wichita Falls) and IP(Iowa Park) peeps, the best way to explain it is that it is like Gene's Tasty burger meets Scott's minus the roaches! Thanks for lunch Chris and Jodie!

Shaun and I helped out at the Met. We had 5 Easter services and amazing things happened! We enjoyed spending time with the family and lunch was AWESOME!! April will be slower for us, so we hope to spend even more time with our family in Wichita Falls. I hear that Shaun might even go fishing!

I wanted to let everyone know that we have set a confirmed moving date for
Saturday, May 31st.

So please keep us in your prayers, we are hosting another open house this Sunday. We have had several lookers, but no offers, so please pray for the house to sell!

We are looking forward to spending some time with Dennis, Stella, and Carla. They are coming down this weekend. We are going to celebrate Shaun's 29th birthday, can we say hello Joe T's!

Our buddy Ronnie sent us an encouraging word, thanks Ronnie! Joshua 1:9; "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go."

We have been called to Mississippi. I know that this is scary for us and for a lot of the people that are close to us. But, the God we serve is an amazing God and He is with all of us wherever we go. Thank you for your prayers and continued support. We could not make this faith step without your encouragement.

More to come...

Love,
Jessica and Shaun

Yard Sale!

Hello All!

Shaun and I had a very busy weekend! It seems like time is just flying by. Can you believe Easter is here? I can't wait to go back home and eat some family cooking! Lunch at Jan and Gary's is always awesome and we are excited to spend some time over at Grannie's and visit with family! May will be here before we know it!

In our efforts to get things settled for our move, we held the first annual Campbell Garbage..oops, I mean GARAGE Sale. We had great weather and a great turn out. The best part... we got rid of all of our junk and made a little money to help us on the way to Mississippi.

We had lots of interesting characters come to barter for our things, but you know what they say; one man's trash is another man's treasure. Many people asked why we were moving and when we told them, they were blown away.
Here are Rick and Shaun on the couches before they sold. Shaun and Rick are garage (garbage) sale kings, so the day was priceless and of course they finished up the event with Taco Casa. One of the funnier stories is that one person paid us with a winning lotto ticket, after they bartered with me over a bag of used golf balls! Here is Shaun with our earnings and the lotto ticket!
We also hosted our first open house. It wasn't as successful as the garage sale, but we will be hosting another one soon. Please keep us in your prayers as we move forward in our adventure to Mississippi.

Here is Shaun enjoying the fruits of his labor, or maybe he is in a food coma after eating a 10 pack of Tacos from Taco Casa?

Snow!!!

Preston got his first hair cut! He wasn't too happy with me for an entire day!

So last week was very crazy! It was 80 one day and 30 the very next day! We received several inches of snow and it was really pretty. There wasn't any ice, so that meant no snow day for us.
Preston had not experienced snow before and was very excited. He refused to come inside for 30 minutes. I felt bad for him though because he just got his first hair cut on Tuesday, so he was very cold! Jackson and Sebastian refused to even get off the couch to see the snow. Such rotten dogs! I can't wait to see how they respond to the ocean and the beach!

The pups really seem to enjoy their new "crate". We had to purchase something to keep them in during the day in case someone wants to come see the house and we are not there. So, we found this pen with a gate and without a top. They really like it and even go to sleep in it when we are home. I thought this was too cute. Sebastian and Preston were sleeping in the same spot, but of course perked up for the camera. Such divas!

Family Meeting

Last night we had all of our family and friends join us at Colonial Baptist Church in Wichita Falls to tell them about our new adventure to the gulf coast. We had several very good guesses as to what the meeting was about... no we are not preggers, no we are not adopting children from Africa, and no we aren't moving to Africa.
Although the moving guess was very close!

We were so blessed and honored to have everyone there. Thank you to everyone for coming. Your support through this is immeasurable. You guys are on this adventure with us! Thank you for your support and encouragement. We are who we are today because of you.

Of course, everyone was invited to dine at the always elegant Taco Casa! There isn't a Taco Casa in Mississippi, not yet anyways! Huh, Jeff and Gary!! Tacos and Mosaic, what a winning combination.

GO COWBOYS!!!!

The Cowboys and Washington Mutual chose the Boys and Girl's Club for the recipient of their Touch Down for Tots program this past football season. One of Shaun's Club Members, Diamond was the lucky kid chosen to be on the posters, billboards, and other media for the program during the season. Shaun and Diamond got to go to Valley Ranch to meet the Cowboys and pose for the photos with Jason Witten. It was an amazing day for both Diamond and Shaun!

Well, the season is now over and Jason came to the Arlington Boys and Girl's Club to present the check for the season. The Boys and Girl's Club received $15,000.00! The press were there for a press conference, and the best part was that Jason and Diamond set up an autograph table and had a signing of the Touch Down for Tots poster for the Club Members.

Jason Witten was very kind and the kids had an amazing day. Shaun's day wasn't too bad either!

Shaun looks like a "little feller" compared to Jason!
