Heat and Humidity

Hello there friends and fam!

I can not believe how hot it is! According to the Coasties it isn't usually any hotter than 89 degrees here in June and it is supposed to rain at least once a week. We have been in the 100's with no rain. The water at the beach is actually hot. The hurricane chasers say that is not a good sign as the warmer the water, the more likely we are to have a hurricane. Yikes!

I wanted to say thank you to all of you for the awesome birthday gifts and the birthday wishes. I had a great birthday. Those things come way too fast!

Shaun left on Monday for Texas with the Youth for the Mission Trip. They come back on Saturday night. Pictures to be posted soon. From all that I have heard, everything went really well.

We are still preparing for Mo Kids Extreme Week. Registration ends this week and I still have space left. Please be praying that we have another 50 kids sign up this week. I know that God has big plans for this event. The volunteers have stepped up in awesome ways, now we just need the kids.

Summer time is in full swing and so are we! I will post pictures of the Mission Trip soon.

Love,
Jessica

June!!

Hello there Amigos and Familia!
We went on our Texas adventure and made it back safely home to MS. We hit the ground running as soon as we got back. It was so good to get to spend time with everyone and take some time to relax. We have been so pulled in so many directions for so long. Thank you friends and family for allowing us to take some time to just enjoy our company without an agenda. We love you!! We are so proud of Clayton and know that God has big plans for his future. Way to go C, can't wait to see you play for University of the Ozarks!

We even got to spend some awesome time shopping!!! I missed Macy's and Sephora. Thanks to Rachele and Patrick, we got to spend some time at Nordstrom's Rack.... and eat at Gloria's and even had homemade breakfast....hello love!

It was so good to see all of our friends too! El Gordo's with the Whitfields was awesome. Jude can't wait to come here and check out Mississippi's pirates. We could not believe how tall K and N are now and we got to love on the Sherman! Thanks Mo Family! We also got to hang out with Pete, Maddie and Alec. We can't wait to see them in the summer.
The pups stayed here with their Aunt Andrea. Preston LOVED hanging out with his daddy Rizer. Jackson and Tiny loved visiting Andrea and Danielle's Mamaw. I loved having dinner with Dani, although bummed at the miscommunication and missing Steph. I appreciate all that Andrea did to love on our babies. Thanks Andrea!

As you guys know, it isn't a trip to TX without a trip to Shaun's heaven on earth, Taco Casa. We ate there several times, including as our last meal out of town, at the TC in Garland. Shaun met the owner of the store there and is more convinced now than ever that we must bring one here to MS. The Golden taco that could buy us a church building.... all we need is an investor...any takers? :-)

We heard from the owner of the TC in Garland that there was indeed a TC in Vicksburg, MS, which is right as you cross over the MS River. Check out their logo...As seen as we cross the bridge here...So, guess where we ate on the way back home? You guessed it TC MS. IT IS NOT THE SAME.... I repeat.. IT IS NOT THE SAME! It was soo gross! So, good news is that Shaun's dream of serving good food to good people is still intact. Yeah??? Pictured below are Shaun's beloved golden tacos...

Since we are back to work, that means that Extreme Week is inching ever so much closer. I am still working on getting everything and everyone in place. Check out the promo video that our buddy Leslie did for us!

Dustin and Natalie are back in Texas this weekend preaching at the Met and letting them know how influential they all are for us. This weekend we are also doing promotion Sunday in the Mo Kids area and launching a brand new room for 4-5th graders complete with their own teaching time and small groups. Lots of great stuff happening here, as always it is busy, but we love it!
Thank you for your prayer and encouragement. Shaun and the Youth will be heading out to Texas on June 22 for their summer mission trip to FTW. They will be planting a church inside the Boys and Girls Club. How cool is that?!? I will be preparing for Extreme Week and celebrating my b-day with my Mississippi peeps!
We would love to have lots of visitors this summer as we take some time off to rest. So, come see us! We will not be coming back to Texas until at least January... so come see us! We love ya'll!
